Jon Moore

Macomb County Representative

Jon Moore is currently the City Manager for the City of Richmond. Richmond is a bedroom community lying in Macomb and St. Clair Counties. Jon began working at the City of Richmond in 1997 serving as the Assistant City Manager. In 2005, he was appointed City Manager. Jon is the Executive Director of the City of Richmond Tax Increment Finance Authority as well as a voting member of the Richmond Planning Commission. He currently serves as the City of Richmond’s alternate delegate to the South Eastern Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) and the Macomb Orchard Trail Commission. Along with many others, Jon worked early in the trail’s development to ensure that Macomb County and the member communities preserved the abandoned CN rail line that would become the Macomb Orchard Trail. He earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University.
