Julia Roberts
Planning and Innovation Director
Julia is an experienced project manager, grant manager, and innovator with deep experience at the intersection of technological innovation and public transit. Her most current role was the Executive Director for Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE). She is also the founder and CEO of WoMobility consulting and spent several years as a leader in the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority planning department, where she managed grants, advanced planning studies, and launched several successful pilot projects.

Melaine Piana
Program Director
Melanie is a community champion and a seasoned public servant with expertise in urban revitalization, mobility/transportation, economic growth, and climate resiliency. Along with role as the Mayor of Ferndale, she serves on the National League of Cities Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee member. She has also served as the Board of Trustees President for the Michigan Municipal League, and as the Chair of the Oakland County Public Transit Authority. Over her 19 year career she has served in leadership roles with the Jefferson East Inc, Downtown Detroit Partnership, and the Detroit Regional Partnership.
